Seminarhaus Starnberger See

Our Plastics Mission Workshop will be taking place at Châteauform Seminarhaus Starnberger See, which is just under an hour from both Munich city centre and its International Airport.

Lake Starnberg, which is located on the doorstep of our venue, is just a few minutes walk away and considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Bavaria. Perfect to visit on an early morning stroll, run or bike ride.

Activities include both relaxing and invigorating options so you can choose to unwind in the sauna or hammam, enjoy a yoga session, or get active on the squash courts or on the golf simulator around workshop sessions. And of course, there's always the karaoke, pool, and table football to enjoy.

Spaces at our workshop will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please don’t delay your registration!

Arrivals‍

Attendees should arrive at the venue no sooner than 17:00 CEST on Tuesday 3 November for registration and check-in.  

Shuttle connections
We will be organising bus shuttles from both Munich International Airport and Munich Hauptbahnhof (in the central city) for both outward and return journeys.  These will depart at the following times only.

Tuesday 3 November

1600 CEST from Munich International Airport
1600 CEST from Munich Hauptbahnhof

Thursday 5 November

1600 CEST to Munich International Airport
1600 CEST to Munich Hauptbahnhof

Reserving your place on shuttles will form part of the registration process.

Importantly, please ensure you allow sufficient time when booking your travel to and from the workshop to meet the outward shuttles on 3 November, and to check in/pass through security at the airport, meet train times, on 5 November. 

Public transport

It is strongly advised that you either join one of our organised shuttle buses, or that you drive yourself or take a taxi from Munich. There are trains to Feldafing but we have been advised by the venue that there is no readily available local taxi service. The walk from the station will take approximately 25-30 minutes.‍

Distance from Munich‍

Munich International and Munich city centre are just under an hour's drive from the venue.

By car

Parking is freely available in the venue's underground car park with its entrance on the forecourt.
